Introducing a new Black Girl Heroine, Rebecca from Rebecca and the Strangest Garden

Children's Book Rebecca and the Strangest Garden on sale

COUNT DOWN to a NEW BLACK GIRL HEROINE IN TOWN

We have one week to go before my first children’s book, Rebecca and the Strangest Garden, goes live!! Rebecca is a new black girl heroine in town. She is interested in the garden, plants, and flowers. She respects them and  treats them with care.  Rebecca will inspire children to cherish the lovely colours, the peace and tranquility of a garden as well as to expect the unexpected.

WHY A BLACK GIRL HEROINE?

Collins dictionary states that a heroine of a book is not only the main character but one with good qualities, brave and greatly admired. There are so many girl heroines out there both black and non black. We don’t often hear much about the black girl heroines until now! I am delighted to introduce Rebecca. She is witty, intelligent and caring. She is teachable and likable and fun!  I’m sure she will be admired by many.

REBECCA IN ACTION

Rebecca does not like mathematics. However, she was instructed to go and completed her mathematics homework. As a result, when she was interrupted, she was glad for the distraction. Furthermore, that is where her adventure begins.

REBECCA’S STRANGEST GARDEN

Rebecca and the Strangest Garden is a story I wrote a few years ago which was originally published on Amazon Kindle Publishing Direct. The feedback was positive and encouraged me to make this book more widely available. The story is now available, published by Thomas V Publishing, in paperback, hardback, and ebook. In 7 days we go live at our launch in Mayfair, London UK.

See you then at our celebration book launch to celebrate the birth of Rebecca and the Strangest Garden by V V Thomas.
